Our most popular questions

When can I see a copy of your terms and conditions?

To see our Event terms and conditions, please click here.

Do you offer accommodation on-site?

Regretfully, we do not offer overnight wedding accommodation, but we have plenty of local hotels that do!  For a list of local accommodations, click here.

Can you bring your own alcohol?

Yes! Please visit our wedding catering page by clicking here.

Can we have live music and bands?

Of course, but we do limit the number of band members to 5 musicians.  For further information regarding Bands, and DJs, please contact us via our contact page.

How many guests can you accommodate?

We can accommodate up to 130 guests for ceremonies and wedding breakfast. For the Evening reception, we can accommodate up to 200 standing guests.

Do we need to hire a Registrar?

If you are planning to hold a legal ceremony at the barn then you will need to hire a registrar through West Sussex County Council.

Can we hire a celebrant instead of a Registrar?

Absolutely! Some couples opt for more personal service and hire a Celebrant to conduct the ceremony if they are already legally married.

Do I have to have my wedding ceremony on-site?

You are not obliged to hold your wedding ceremony on-site, however, we are fully licensed to conduct both indoor and outdoor wedding ceremonies at Long Furlong Barn.  If you wish to get married offsite, the venue hire price will remain the same, and the venue will be exclusively yours, all day.

Parking

We have plenty of parking for cars, with up to 60 spaces around the venue and an overflow carpark, weather permitting.  You may leave your cars overnight at your own risk and collect them the following day before 10 am.  We would strongly advise a taxi at all times for weddings and parties wherever possible.

Fireworks, Firepits and Sparklers

Due to our location on a working farm, we cannot permit fireworks.  Fire pits and sparklers are also not permitted on the advice of our fire safety warden.

Confetti

No wedding can be without confetti! We welcome confetti at Long Furlong Barn, but we do ask that all confetti consists of dried flowers only.  Please contact us for a copy of our confetti policy.

Do I need to get Wedding Insurance?

Yes! Whilst it may not always feel like it's needed, Long Furlong Barn strongly recommends all couples obtain wedding insurance.
